The Challenge
Regulatory Bottlenecks Endanger Production
Tightened regulations and export restrictions on critical raw materials from China have caused severe supply chain bottlenecks for high-purity materials across the industry. Alternative materials available on the open market are often too heavily contaminated for high-tech applications, rendering them unusable in their raw state.
The customer faced a strategic challenge: they needed to purify contaminated raw materials in-house to an ultra-pure standard to safeguard their own manufacturing operations.
The Requirement: A technologically advanced purification system capable of consistently maintaining extremely high process temperatures and precise, slow feed speeds over extended periods. In addition, the system needed to offer flexible, user-friendly control to transform contaminated special materials into high-purity inputs fully automatically and with high repeatability.
The Solution
Independence Through High-Tech Refining – Fully Automated In-House Purification
A specialized zone melting system was engineered for advanced process technology, operating at temperatures up to 1,100 °C. Featuring adjustable reactor tilt angles and high-efficiency induction heating, the system allows the customer to reliably and automatically segregate and remove impurities from raw materials.
